Thank you in advance for your gift in support of our many and growing children’s Plant Science and Environmental education programs – serving more and more greater Milwaukee area children each year.
Your gift helps insure that we continue to deliver this vital learning to public school children which, due to the many and continuing public school budget cuts, they may not otherwise receive.
Our 2011 reach has grown to 16,086, a 7% increase versus 2010!
Our hands on programs are taught in both indoor and outdoor classrooms, offering students the opportunity to connect with nature and learn life balance – essential in today’s world where electronic media dominates student attention, and vital interpersonal skills are being lost.
In September 2011, we introduced Planet Hope, developed for middle and high school student learning. Our new programming includes plant science, environmental initiatives and related career options.
And, as part of FBBG’s preservation initiatives…sustaining our outdoor classrooms for all ages…we look forward to our third year of the FBBG led volunteer weeding initiative at Boerner. 224 volunteers joined us for 30 weeding days this year!
