“Grow Green”
Family Garden Walk

Sunday, July 27

4 to 6 pm  FREE

Living “green” means making healthy, Earth-friendly choices that are
good for the environment and good for your family. Take time together and learn about the green at Boerner Botanical Gardens this summer. Find out what each of us can do to “Grow Green.”

Kermit the Frog thought it is not easy being green. But here at Boerner it is! As you stroll through the different Gardens you will find activity tables from community and cultural organizations.

Jerry Johnson, song writer and musician, will present an educational
music program, “Plant Tunes.” Join in the singing and the story telling. Jerry will involve children in the writing of an original song entitled “Grow Green.” Bring your ideas and singing voice.

Since 1989, Jerry Johnson has presented performances,
residencies, and workshops in the areas of nature, cross-
cultural understanding, and folklore. He has produced
three CDs of his songs. Johnson
