It has been the dream of many to see Boerner Botanical Gardens as the premier resource for people to come and learn about horticulture and gardening. With the opening of the Education & Visitor Center in 2003, this dream, and that of Alfred Boerner and Charles Whitnall, has become reality.
The Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens are in partnership with Milwaukee County to operate the Education & Visitor Center. This is a unique opportunity for the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens, primarily, as we will be able to more effectively carry out our mission to promote Boerner Botanical Gardens and Arboretum as an outstanding regional resource and vital regional asset.
